Position Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and digital learning tools. You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, and multimedia specialists to create engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences for diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop engaging instructional content for eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), and blended learning solutions.
Conduct needs analyses and learner assessments to identify learning gaps and recommend instructional strategies.
Apply adult learning theory, cognitive science, and instructional design best practices to all projects.
Develop instructional materials including storyboards, scripts, facilitator guides, participant materials, assessments, and job aids.
Collaborate with SMEs, graphic designers, and developers to ensure content accuracy and visual appeal.
Utilize eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, etc.) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course creation and deployment.
Review and revise instructional materials based on feedback and learner data to ensure continuous improvement.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting timelines and quality standards.
Stay current with trends and advancements in instructional design, technology, and adult learning.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in instructional design or a related field.
Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), Adobe Captivate, or similar.
Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and LMS platforms.
Strong understanding of instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, or Agile.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing training for adult learners in corporate, academic, or nonprofit environments.
Experience with video and multimedia production for learning.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Certification in instructional design or related areas (e.g., CPLP, APTD, ATD Master Instructional Designer).
