Position Overview
Qualteach is seeking a results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead client acquisition, partnership development, and revenue growth. This role is ideal for a self-directed professional with experience in education services, tutoring, workforce development, or consultative sales who thrives in a commission-driven environment.
This is a W-2 employee position, initially compensated through commissions, with a clearly defined pathway to base compensation and expanded leadership responsibilities based on performance milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Revenue Growth
Identify, prospect, and secure new clients, including families, schools, districts, nonprofits, and education-focused organizations.
Convert inbound and outbound leads into signed tutoring service agreements.
Present Qualteach offerings through consultations, virtual meetings, and proposals.
Partnership Development
Build strategic partnerships with schools, community organizations, educational agencies, and referral partners.
Develop outreach strategies to expand institutional and group tutoring contracts.
Sales Strategy & Pipeline Management
Maintain and manage a structured sales pipeline using CRM or internal tracking tools.
Forecast revenue and report weekly/monthly performance metrics.
Collaborate with leadership to refine pricing, service packages, and market positioning.
Brand Representation
Serve as a professional ambassador for Qualteach, clearly articulating the organization’s mission, values, and service standards.
Ensure all sales activities align with ethical practices and student-centered outcomes.
Compensation Structure
Commission-Based (Initial Phase):
Competitive commission on all closed deals and recurring contracts.
Growth Pathway:
Eligibility for base salary, enhanced commission tiers, or senior leadership designation based on performance benchmarks and sustained revenue generation.
W-2 Status:
Employee classification with structured oversight, performance expectations, and advancement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or client acquisition (education or service-based industries strongly preferred).
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet performance targets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfort operating in a commission-driven environment during the initial phase.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in tutoring, education services, workforce development, or professional training.
Experience selling recurring services or contracts (B2C and/or B2B).
Familiarity with CRM systems and remote sales processes.
